My name is Chris Hitchens my focus is on the scientific basis of mindfulness practices, specifically tai chi, yoga, and meditation.
My own journey in adopting a healthier lifestyle has enabled me to bring a high level of empathy, respect, and understanding to the experiences of others.
I meet with veterans, first responders, teachers, students individually and in group settings, with both in-person and Zoom options.
I volunteer with numerous VSO's such as the Semper Odyssey, Team RWB and the Wounded Warrior Project, along with a number of local Pittsburgh organizations and school districts.
A meditative practice can help clients develop self-awareness and a reduction of the physiological and psychological impacts of stress.
Tai chi is a meditative martial art that enhances physical, emotional and mental resiliency.
Yoga combines physical postures with breath control as it promotes flexibility, strength, and inner peace.
